The Remmer Family Foundation is a small, private foundation, which funds research and programs focused on helping at risk pre-adolescent and adolescent girls make good choices in their lives. The Directors of the Remmer Family Foundation volunteer their time and the office provides administrative support.


The Remmer Family Foundation was the primary catalyst for the establishment of the First Coast Girls Initiative in 2001. The FCGI is a coalition of organizations dedicated to making a difference in the lives of girls in Jacksonville through community education and research. The vision of the First Coast Girls Initiative is that every girl experiences a community that embraces and supports gender equity and values the female perspective.


The Remmer Family Foundation also is a funding partner of the Women's Giving Alliance's research study of the status of women and girls in the 21st century of Northeast Florida.
